Second Prime is the evolving web community for people over 50: Baby Boomers and active seniors who know the best part of life begins when the kids are grown, the money is in the bank, and you have the health and freedom to live by your own rules.

Second Prime is a unique combination of social networking (think MySpace for grownups), community, original content, and connections to real-world activities like travel and education. No other web destination combines all these features into a single place, then designs them for the unique needs and interests of the over-50 crowd.

Inspired by the book How to Make the Rest of Your Life the Best of Your Life by Art Linkletter and Mark Victor Hansen, Second Prime is your total resource for tapping the incredible potential of the years after age 50.  When this website is built out, you’ll find tools to help you start your own home-based business, share and even sell your creative work such as writing and photography, connect with people of common interests, organize volunteers to give back to your community, find amazing travel deals, attend classes, and a lot more.

Now Second Prime is at “Beta Test,” which means we’re still working on many of the awesome features we’ll roll out when we have our official launch in 2008.  So beyond the cool stuff you see today, you’ll see much more, including:

•    The Business Center, a collection of tools and resources you can use to collaborate on business ideas and even launch and run your own business.
•    The Media Room, four virtual galleries where you can display your original art, photography, music, video and even writing.
•    Goal Rush, a feature that will let you write down your 10 most important life goals and find others who share them.
•    LifeLine, a unique “story builder” that will let you assemble the story of your life and family using sound, pictures, video and more, then share it with anyone.
•    Happy Hour, our virtual game center where you can not only take on brain teasers to keep your mind sharp, but publish your own games and quizzes to stump the community.
•    Audio and video stories of exciting Boomers and the things they’re doing in our Bodacious Boomers feature.
