Semi-Western Grip

Back to Semi-Western Grip Page

The knuckle on the base of your index finger goes on bevel 4. Your hand will fit perfectly around the asymmetrical shape created by the Power V Grip for the Semi-Western grip.  The superior leverage and traction will transfer so much more energy to the ball and support the high racquet head speeds and steep swing path of the Semi-Western grip

Notice bevel 3, this is where you place the knuckle on the base of your index finger for the Eastern forehand.  The point is that many people have trouble moving their hand from the Eastern forehand to the Semi-Western grip.  The PVG increases the size of bevel 4 making it so much easier to accurately move your hand back and forth from the Eastern to the Semi-Western grip.
